We schedule classes based on student interest. .
Classes are limited to six students to ensure a great learning environment.
Beginning Sewing I
New to sewing? Fear not—this beginning class will get you comfortable with a sewing machine and teach you the basics about fabric, needles, and thread. You’ll leave class with a custom pillowcase and the confidence to move on to the next project.
Machines and all supplies provided.
Learn to Quilt
Making quilts is one of the best ways to express yourself through sewing. In this class, you’ll master the quarter-inch seam, learn how to combine fabrics in pleasing combinations, and make a small wallhanging.
Introduction to Garment Making
Have you ever wished for a wardrobe that fit you perfectly? That wish can become reality. This class teaches how to read a pattern, choose the appropriate size, and make basic adjustments for better fit. THIS CLASS IS REQUIRED FOR ALL OTHER GARMENT CLASSES IF YOU ARE NEW TO GARMENT SEWING.
Make a T-Shirt
Learn to make a simple round-neck T-shirt on a serger.
Beginning Sewing II
After you’ve taken Beginning Sewing I—or if you already have some sewing experience—build on your skills by making a useful tote bag.
Machines can be provided if you do not have one. A supply list of materials will be mailed to you after registration.
Serger 101
Do you have a serger gathering dust? Perhaps you inherited one or bought one at a garage sale. Get that machine out of the closet and start using it! In this class, we’ll go over machine maintenance, threading, and basic serger stitches.
Make a Bag
If you want to sew but making quilts and garments isn’t for you, consider making a bag, instead.
Make a Pair of Pants
Learn to make a simple pair of elastic-waist pull-on pants.
